You’ve decided to get married — how exciting!

If you’re wondering “What happens next?”, don’t worry. The process is much simpler than it sounds, and I’ll guide you every step of the way.

Here’s a straightforward overview to get you started.

1. Get in Touch

Reach out to book an initial meeting with me. As your Authorised Marriage Celebrant, I’ll meet with you to chat about your ceremony plans — including the date, time, and location — and answer any questions you may have.

At this meeting we will:

  • Complete your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM)

  • Sight your identification, such as:

    • Passport or

    • Driver’s Licence and Birth Certificate

  • If applicable, sight evidence of divorce or a death certificate

2. Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM)

  • The NOIM must be signed and witnessed by an authorised person, such as:

    • Marriage Celebrant

    • Justice of the Peace

    • Doctor

    • Solicitor

    • Police Officer

  • It must be lodged with me at least one month before your wedding date

  • Only one partner needs to complete the NOIM to begin the process(the other partner will sign it before the ceremony)

Your ceremony date cannot be confirmed until I have received your NOIM.

3. Booking Fee

  • A non-refundable booking fee of $150 is required when:

    • Submitting your NOIM, or

    • Making your booking (whichever happens first)

4. NOIM Validity

  • Your NOIM is valid for 18 months from the date it is lodged

Non-Australian Residents & Visitors

Good news — you do not need to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to marry in Australia.

You do need to:

·        Both be over 18 years of age

  • Give your full and free consent to the marriage

Please note:

  • Marriage in Australia does not grant citizenship or change visa conditions

If You’re Overseas

  • Your NOIM can be signed before:

    • A Notary Public

    • An Australian Diplomatic Officer

    • An Australian Consular Officer

  • Once I receive your NOIM, it is considered officially lodged

 Language Requirements

  • All parties (the couple and witnesses) must understand English

  • If not, an interpreter must be provided (at your expense)

This is a sweet, no-frills ceremony that focuses on what’s essential — your marriage.

What’s included:

  • I’ll take care of completing and lodging your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM)

  • A short and simple legal ceremony

  • Just you, your partner, and two witnesses

  • All the required legal wording (no more, no less)

  • Registration of your marriage

  • Help with ordering your official BDM certificate

  • Held within 10km of Wentworthville

Perfect if you’re thinking: “We just want to be married — simply and beautifully.”

 Circle of Love                                    $450

For couples who want a little more heart, and a few more happy faces.

This ceremony is intimate, personal, and full of warmth — shared with the people who matter most.

What’s included:

  • Completion and lodgement of your NOIM

  • A personalised ceremony for up to 20 guests

  • Ring exchange and personal vows

  • Readings, music, or special moments led by family or friends

  • Registration of your marriage

  • Help ordering your BDM certificate

 Lovely for things like:

  • A backyard or garden ceremony with family readings

  • A relaxed park wedding with music and a short blessing

  • Exchanging vows with your children proudly by your side

The Fairytale                                        $700                

For couples who want their ceremony to feel like them — meaningful, magical, and unforgettable.

This is where storytelling, symbolism, and celebration come together in a fully bespoke ceremony.

Everything in Circle of Love, plus:

  • Space for all the guests you wish to invite

  • A rehearsal, if that helps you feel calm and confident

  • A ceremony script lovingly created with you

  • Your love story woven throughout the ceremony

  • Support with writing vows (you won’t be left staring at a blank page!)

  • Inclusion of rituals, children, pets, and cultural traditions

  • Use of a PA system and signing table, if needed

Perfect for:

  • Beach weddings with sand ceremonies or handfasting

  • Garden celebrations with music and readings from loved ones

  • Blending cultures, families, and traditions
